I realize that the update issue is Samsung&amp;#39;s fault, so I won&amp;#39;t go with Samsung again. I like what WP is trying to accomplish with their live tiles and social integration, and as much as I would like to deny it, these things really DO march on the strength of their marketplaces to a large degree. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Like I said, I&amp;#39;m not due for an update until Feb, although I&amp;#39;m not sure if I&amp;#39;ll lock myself into another 2 year contract at that point. It&amp;#39;ll depend on what&amp;#39;s on the market, and in what state. Real names are printed every year (2wice a year?) in the phonebook, which no one uses. It&amp;#39;s also on the online directories. If Google requires real names, I fear they&amp;#39;ll be limiting themselves. Think of Twitter people who don&amp;#39;t use facebook because they want to use an pseudonym, but maybe they&amp;#39;d like something a bit less limiting than Twitter. That stinks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hey, I&amp;#39;m not on LevelCapped! However, the device itself is now near pristine, since it was reset to factory once I switched to the Android. I can&amp;#39;t say if the performance is better then it was when I was using it as a phone since it&amp;#39;s not in the same state. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The WM7 model does sound interesting, although they, too, have limited hardware requirements from what I understand. They mandate that the device MUST have the same 3 button hardware config, but the INTERNALS can be whatever the mfr wants. The Android issue is that the features of the OS march on, but at some point they&amp;#39;re too powerful for the older hardware to support. Co-worker mentions it is a lot better.  Course how would you know, I don&amp;#39;t remember Apple mentioning they were immediately going to release a fix.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Still with Win7 approach to many vendors and carriers, but locking in they way ppl will see things, gives us a nice 3rd model.
